'What's The Drama' Rocks Queen's Court in Centre:MK
As part of our Fenceless Arts program, we offer community groups and organisations the opportunity to perform.
We wanted to spotlight What's the Drama, a brilliant company that offers a creative space for adults with learning disabilities focusing on theatre arts and theatre performance.
Genevieve Shaw, who has 25 years of experience working in social care set up the group said, "the members absolutely loved the opportunity to contribute to their community and be seen in a positive light. The response was very positive, and parents and carers felt proud."
"The professionalism and commitment of the members were amazing, especially as they were scheduled to perform on the hottest day of the year!"
Genevieve added, "Both days challenged us with the weather from too hot to raining, but the guys were eager to perform and show off their skills." We hope to work with What's the Drama again in the future supporting them on their upcoming productions.
If you are a local community group that would be interested in finding out how to get a performance slot, do get in touch. Just like we have with 'What's the Drama', we want to offer as many people as we can a platform to share what they can do with the wider public.
